Tell a Newborn Believer – Spiritual Blessings from the Holy Spirit to the Elect

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.’   Ephesians 1:13-14 NIV

Did You Know?  Blessings from the Holy Spirit for the Followers of Christ

1. Did you know that we become God’s own when we have heard the message of truth? It is the Good News of the Gospel of Our Salvation brought to us by the Holy Spirit. There is darkness in this world, the evil one. But, he has been defeated by Jesus, the light of the world. Because we are Followers of Christ, we bathe in the magnificent light of the Spirit. Darkness can never defeat his light. From verse 13.

2. Did you know that we have been marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit was promised by Jesus and prophesied by such people as the Prophets Isaiah, Ezekiel, Zachariah, Joel, John the Baptist and Jesus. He led us to the Father and the Son. He is our constant companion and Sanctifier. He helps us. He comforts us. He gives us Grace. He gives us so much more that we cannot even explain. From verse 13.

A Lesson Learned?

When we give our testimonies, we should always be sure to tell a new or unbeliever of the above blessings that are completely undeserved, yet have been given to us. All we have to do is to be Followers of Christ and accept them.

To be a Follower of Christ means the Father has accepted Christ’s sacrifice as payment for our sin (Justification). Our rap sheets contained every sinful thought, attitude or action we have ever committed. No amount of self-cleansing could have made us pure enough to warrant forgiveness and a relationship with a holy God. Because God cannot look upon sin.

Are you ready to go and tell God’s story to an unbelieving world?
